Recovery from injury, surgery, or childbirth
Mobility and balance
Sports and yoga performance
Physical presence and self-expression

In person-sessions are back!

District Rolfing is now offering in-person sessions again!  I'm fully vaccinated and all COVID protocols are still being followed.
For those who aren't in DC or prefer a session at home, online movement therapy sessions are available. These sessions use the same approach and principles of Rolfing,  use your own movement and awareness to make the change.  The results are excellent, even for people with pain issues, and best of all, give you the tools to help yourself move out of pain on your own.

District Rolfing provides Rolfing and manual and movement therapy in Northwest Washington DC.

Want to feel better in your body, relieve chronic tension or pain, reach the next level in yoga or sports, or enhance your posture and physical presentation?  District Rolfing can help.
Rolfing is an effective approach to improve the body's structural balance and ease of movement. As mobility and alignment improve, you feel better.  Rolfing provides lasting results  by actively engaging the body's innate intelligence - the body mind.  Athletes, dancers and artists, professionals, and people who use their hands and bodies at work have all benefited from Rolfing.  It's safe, gentle and appropriate for every age and body type.  Every session is adapted individually for you.

At District Rolfing, Rolfing is integrated with other whole-body
therapies to best meet your needs.  You don't need to decide which therapy you need - when you come in for your first session we'll discuss your goals or apply those techniques that are best suited for you.  Ask for a free initial phone consultation to learn more.   Specific approaches I draw from include Rolfing and Rolf Movement, Barral neural and visceral manipulation, traditional Thai bodywork, and postural exercise therapy.

It's like learning to ride a bike.  Once you learn how it feels in your body, you never forget.

“… after my first session with Anne [I] felt a remarkable difference… the 10 session Rolfing course not only helped me with my back pain, it improved my breathing, my body awareness, my posture, my walk and more. I would really recommend Anne very highly.”  Michel B.
