{"I didn't know anything about Rolfing before hearing about it from Anne. She posted about her work in a Facebook group where people where exchanging information about practitioners that helped with their back pain.
I decided to give it a try and even after my first session with Anne felt a remarkable difference. It was really noticeable! So I signed up for the 10 session Rolfing course and it not only helped me with my back pain, it improved my breathing, my body awareness, my posture, my walk and more. I would really recommend Anne very highly. What's best about Anne is that she studied a number of different techniques. I met her in Thailand while she studied with a Thai master. So even after our ten Rolfing sessions were completed, I continued to visit Anne for her body work or Thai Massage techniques. Since she knew my body so well by this time, she knew exactly with kind of technique to apply to address a certain issue. I love that about the work she does. She's able and skilled to assess, knows how to address it and apply the correct technique. Living in Thailand, it is easy to get Thai massages everywhere but none are as specific and pinpointed and tailor made as Anne's. Over a period of a year I must have done more than 25 sessions with her and in all my experiences with other practitioners (I used to go and see Chiropractors quite regularly before meeting Ange) I have never ever received such fantastic results. I highly recommend Anne. I understand that the type of work is not for every type of problem or issue but she'll tell you if she's not the right therapist for you.' Michel Behrens, Chiang Mai "Although I was skeptical of Rolfing when I first heard about it from my yoga instructor, I was in dire enough straits to entertain the idea of trying something new. By way of background, I was having persistent difficulties with tightness in my left leg while running. While I would hesitate to call my self an "avid runner" I was averaging about 3-4 miles, three to four times a week. Tightness in my left leg had been an and off again problem for about 18 months; I tried physical therapy, shoe inserts etc, nothing worked. By the time I got to Anne, my old man jogging pace of about 5.5mph was down to 4.7mph(almost a fast walk) and even with that I had to spend the first ten minutes on the tread mill hanging on to the railing lest I fall over. Pretty grim. So with nothing to lose I decided to try Rolfing. While not exactly a miracle, I would say that within the first three sessions I noticed a difference and an improvement. By the time I was half way through the ten series, I was almost back to normal and by the time I completed the series I was back to my normal pace. So if you are like me, perhaps a bit skeptical, all I can say is give it a try; it worked for me!" Eric R. , runner. "As a rolfing first-timer, I was beyond impressed with my body work session. Anne did an excellent job of thoroughly assessing my functional movement restrictions and associated pain. She was very effective in opening up my restricted tissue areas and guiding me into more awareness of the areas of my body that I wasn't quite using correctly! I highly encourage people give this body work technique a try. It's the whole body connection that really makes this technique so impressive to me!" Karen Bonney, PT "Anne is a great practitioner. Her knowledge about body posture helps her to pinpoint the chronicle tight areas and her long experience with Thai massage gives her very processed but gentle touch." Leonid Morozov, KMI SI Practitioner, LMT "Anne is an extremely dedicated to her profession. She is committed to her patient's outcome. She is exceptionally intuitive and perceptive of her patient's unique conditions. Rolfing or physical integration has a reputation for being painful and aggressive. Anne shows in her style of body work that a firm gentle touch can be just as effective. I did 9 sessions with Anne and had very clear and perceptible results for each and every session. I was amazed that such a gentle work could have such amazing results." William Tuffin, cycle tour operator "I can't recommend Anne's practice highly enough. I feel so lucky to have been recommended to her by a friend in the yoga community because I wanted more 'connectivity' in my yoga practice. I wasn't sure exactly what to expect but Anne makes everything very accessible and her manner puts you instantly at ease. Some of the series is a little awkward or uncomfortable, but she is so gifted at finding the right balance between what you need and what you can take, and created an atmosphere where I was able to communicate easily to her how my body was feeling, so she could respond accordingly. The benefits of having done the 10 series have turned out to be far greater than just improving my yoga practice. Anne definitely helped me achieve this goal, but she did so much more - helped improve issues from a previous motorbike accident, made my yoga practice safer, gave me more confidence in my body, and taught me a great deal about anatomy and the way the parts of my body interact. I often think about the lessons Anne taught me when I'm going about my daily life and I am so grateful for the energy and enthusiasm she put into our sessions. She is extremely dedicated and knowledgeable, and I was really sad to come to the end of the 10 series. Thank you Anne! " Katy Simpson, |
